WOMEN'S INFORMATION SESSIONS (2009-12-19)
In collaboraton with Women's Time Out, 4 Korners is pleased to announce a new series of information sessions covering a broad range of topics concerning women of all ages. These sessions will be held on the first Thursday of every month at the Veteran's Hall located in Deux-Montagnes. For more information please call us at (450) 974-3940.

Are lunches for your family costing too much to make? Need a little hand? Join our group, have healthy lunches, meet new friends, and save some money. Call us for more information. Starting in January 2010.
NEW! GROOVIN AND SOOTHIN (CHILDREN 3 TO 4) (2009-12-14)
This new program combines music and dance, and promotes valuable social skills for children. The program is designed to enhance each child's ability during these important formative years to think, learn, reason and create. Each session winds down with a story and sends the children home feeling comfortable and alert.
Starts January 19, 2010, Cost: $50.00 for 10 weeks.
4 KORNERS H1N1 VACCINATION CLINIC ! (2009-12-12)
On Wednesday, December 16th our first day clinic was held to vaccinate citizens of the Laurentians against H1N1. In collaboration with the CLSC who provided 5 nurses to facilitate the many people who chose to attend our convenient vaccination clinic. The day was a success!

We are here to give a helping hand, Monday's from 9:30 - 1:30 p.m. Please call to reserve your spot. Cost per hour $5.00 (1 child) $6.00 (2 children) $7.00 (3 children).
LET'S GET TOGETHER (2009-10-01)
This is a pilot project designed to allow people with Alzheimer's disease or related disorders (ADRD) to discuss their concerns while their caregivers take some personal time. If you are recently diagnosed, or are a care giver and know of someone with ADRD, and would like more information regarding Alzheimer Disease this group could help you.
Facilitated by 4 Korners and animated by a Therapeutic Recreation Specialist, the purpose of the group is to provide people with ADRD with information, a friendly ear and understanding, in order to help them learn to accept their disease and to better cope with its inherent challenges.
The first hour will be devoted to participants' concerns regarding Alzheimer's disease as well as discussion regarding resources. Following a snack, the second hour will allow cognitive stimulation in a friendly, enjoyable format.
General outline of topics we will discuss:
• Introductions - What is Alzheimer's disease?
• Brain function, memory and medication
• Adaptation Strategies
• Relationships with family and friends — communication
• Changes & Issues
• Emotions
• Wellness, optimism, getting moving
• Community Resources

In order to provide participants with continuity and create an atmosphere of unity, all those interested will be required to meet with the animator and commit to registering for the entire 8-week program.
